***Ben enters from his home***
He exited his house quickly, his eyes darting about quickly for the source of the disturbance.

***Ben enters***
PRYCE
He waited quietly outside, listening to the muffled voices but not catching any words. Eventually, Ben headed out into the corridor, saying, “She’s currently pregnant. I’m going to have Juliet check her out.”
Pryce turned to face Ben. “She ain’t pregnant. She’s a liar.”
“Why do you think that?”
“Because we can’t let another baby die, can we?”
“They haven’t been born yet, Ryan. Our priority is always to save the mother when there comes an emergency, like with Sabine.” Explained Ben, clearly surprised by Pryce’s sudden opinion.
“They’re still…kids.” Mumbled Pryce. “Sir.”
He was silent for a moment, looking at Ben, avoiding his eyes. “I like kids. I’ve always been lenient when it comes to kids.” Grunted Pryce, looking away. “Y’know, when I was a kid myself, I was pretty much your average obnoxious, arrogant nine-year old. I found a spider and put it in my little sister’s bed.”
Pryce paused again, unsure why on Earth he was telling Ben. Probably because Ben wouldn’t care enough to repeat it. “I thought it would be funny to watch her freak out.” Pryce chuckled lightly, and then his expression turned softer. “Too bad it turned out to be a hobo spider. It bit her, and she ended up losing a part of her leg. She walks with a chunk of metal holding her leg together now.”
Pryce was silent for a little while longer, and then whispered hoarsely, “The guilt has been killing me slowly for a very, very long time now.”
He looked back up at Ben and shifted back into the tough guy. “Point of my little story is, things ain’t what they seem, ever. The English chick looks harmless, but we can’t let her outta our sight for two seconds. You can’t trust her, you can’ trust that she gave you true answers, you can’t trust Saint, you can’t trust Burke, or nobody.”
BEN LINUS
He folded his arms, listening with fake sympathy to Pryce’s story. He didn’t need the analogy. He just wanted to tell someone, which was clear. It was a little surprising. Ben hadn’t any idea Pryce could be so melodramatic. “I understand, Ryan. Believe me, I’m not about to turn my back on her, or anyone for that matter.” He replied calmly. “I think Preston may have traumatised her. Keep her down here for tonight, but tomorrow, I want her moved back to the barracks. I’ll speak with Juliet tonight about her taking on the job of babysitting.”

"Take care of what you need to, We've got a lot going on, it seems."
"In that case, wait here. I need to check something with Juliet." he replied, turning and swiftly leaving for Juliet's house.

"Pickett failed. And Mr.'Friendly' here was trying to stop me from telling you! Now Ben you make want me to shut up and do my job, but I don't think that this is a situation that should be sugar coated, how can I do my job when other people like Pickett aren't doing theres? Ben and you deserve to know what's going on around here"
He advanced on her angrily. "You need to watch what you're saying. It seems that disobedience seems to be our theme for today. You claim to only be doing your job, when you've shown a total disregard for what other people tell you. And the minute you stop following orders, then everything we're trying to achieve here falls apart." He folded his arms, staring at her intently. "Danny and Tom have both worked here longer than you. They rarely, if ever, slip up, and they always follow orders. I think you might need a lesson in that, so here's an order for you to follow: find Preston and tell him that he's not to go to the Arrow anymore. He's to go to the Staff. Understand?"

((alcatraz, do not god-mod other peoples characters. I've told you before about this. Please check the rpg rules again))
Ben secretly suspected that Sofia had som sort of personality disorder, never speaking normally and never pausing to breath. Instead, what usually came was a run-on of words meshed together as she spewed forth every thought she had. She was barely comprehensible anyway, so he simply ignored her most of or all of the time.
"What did I tell you, Sofie?"
Ben looked to Tom. "I wasn't listening anyway. What's the problem, Tom? I'm dealing wih quite a large one myself."

***Ben enters***
He was just outside Juliet's home now. So close, when his walkie crackled to life.
"Ben..... Ben! We've got a problem!"
He snapped it up. "Can it wait?"

Ben's head snapped over to Luke and the rest of his people around him. "She'll be up and running soon enough. Where's Pryce?" He demanded.
"Sir?" The gruff, balding ex-military man with a mean streak jogged over. Pryce was impersonal, never asked questions. At least not of Ben. He was invaluable, and unlike Danny, kept himself under control.
"Take Samantha Harkness here to the Staff station. We'll transfer her to the Hydra at a later point, for now I want her vitals tested." he looked around. "It's time to get the Staff set back up as a working station." He looked back to Pryce again. "As soon as she wakes and starts asking questions, contact me with your walkie." He instructed.
Pryce nodded simply, and then moved to Samantha. He roughly picked her up and slung her over his shoulders. A few others joined him, walking in front and behind.
ALDO
People were doing things again. He wasn't involved again. He jogged up to Pryce with a goofy grin on his face. "Hey, Ryan." No answer. Grumpy bastard. "Going to the Staff, huh?"
"Yeah, Aldo, I am."
"Can I come?"
"No."
"OK, let's go."

"So you're the man in charge? According to Mr. Saint...I mean Doctor Saint. What are you going to do with him?"
"He'll be punished accordingly." he replied. "We'll be sure to offer you a fresh change of clothes." Luke returned with a taser concealed with a handkerchief. He handed it discreetly to Ben.
"Ah, thank you, Luke." he smiled, turned, and without a moment's hesitation pressed the taser to Samantha Harkness' stomach.

"I don't think I caught your name?"
"My name is Benjamin Linus. It's a pleasure." he smiled, and turned to another neighbour. "Luke, would you please fetch Ryan for me?" He turned back to the new woman and smiled politely. "I'm sorry, may I ask your name?"

"I just want to see my sister again, Ben. And if looking after one of your new lab rats will make that happen, then I'm happy to do it,"
"You'll see her again." he said, turning back to the beautiful blonde. "I promise you, and I'm going to keep that promise."
He paused for a moment, just looking at her. "Well, goodbye for now, Juliet."

"Of course, She's welcome to stay here."
A little surprised at how quickly she'd agreed, he nodded with approval. "Good. I'll have Pryce bring her up now." He turned for the door. "Remember to keep a close watch on her at all times. And thank you, Juliet."

"And what makes you think I can help you with this problem, Ben?"
"Well, for one, you and my problem could bond over your shared hatred of me." he said, moving past her. "A woman named Samantha Harkness. She's a survivor who made it all the way from the cockpit to Preston Saint's backgarden. He entertained her for a brief period and she's currently being held in the Staff. I'd rather she remained with you for the night."
He turned back to her. "Care to babysit?"

"How can I help you? No, wait, let me rephrase: what are you planning to hold over my head today in order to force me to help you?"
"Very witty, Juliet. And I'm simply requiring a favour of you." he replied tonelessly. "Quite a large problem has come up."

"The chances that anyone survived that plane crash are slim at best. The chances that any of those survivors might be pregnant are even slimmer. And then we have the more immediate problem of the tumor on your spine. Something which you assured me was impossible to develop here on this island. So forgive me if I don't share your optimism."
He felt a mild sting at the mention of his tumour. The sickness inside of him. He quickly recomposed himself, not allowing any emotion to show on his face. "I'm not entirely sure 'optimism' is the right word. But I do have faith there are survivors, even if chances are low that there's a new mother among them. But we're going to find out for ourselves rather than leaving it to guesswork and then just going home, aren't we?"

"Am I supposed to be grateful now? To thank you profusely for this wonderful opportunity to be stranded so far away from my family, with no hope of returning to them for the foreseeable future?"
"Not at all. You're simply meant to understand that you have something to work to-wards." he said, approaching.

"Well, that went rather well, didn't it?"
"Exceptionally." he replied in a deadpan tone, casting a stony look at Mikhail, before heading outside to find Juliet.
He didn't go up to her straight away. He stood close to the flame station. "I wasn't lying, was I, Juliet?" he said, and then suddenly realized the surreal scene before him. A beautiful blonde woman standing near a structure that housed a one-eyed Russia, and he was trying to ignore the cows that shifted around nearby.

"The mothers keep dying."
That was wrong. Failure was something he wasn't about to accept. They were coming close, he could feel it. And for success, certain prices had to be paid. "Then we'll find more mothers." he replied with a firm conviction. "Who knows, maybe there's even one on that plane."

"I wanna go home, Ben,"
He shook his head, as if denying a child candy. "That's not our agreement," he began in a subtlety patronizing tone. "You need to stay here until your work is finished."

He simply stood, perfectly still, unmoved. "I'm not a liar, Juliet." he insisted firmly, watching her carefully.
