((ooc: Your post is perfect. Not every post has to be paragraphs ) HEIDI "No," I said with a small laugh. "His name's George but I guess he's not too fond of it. But anyway, he brought us some mangoes, hence the need for the knife and plate," I said, slightly raising each object as I referred to them. "Wanna join me? I feel like I haven't gotten to talk to you in ages." Ages? I thought to myself, wishing I hadn't said that. It's been less than 24 hours since you last talked to him and you're making it sound like you... miss him... or something. I momentarily studied the sand at my feet as I willed myself to not flush with embarrassment.

"Well, I did meet several new people today, not sure if I would exactly call them friends just yet. Oh!" I said excitedly, "One of 'em I definitely hope to become good friends with. Have you met G yet?" I asked as I turned my attention to the pile and started to shuffle through for something to use as a plate. "He's great! Had me cracking up all morning. Totally made me forget about being stuck on an island. This'll work," I said, turning around with a decent size piece of metal that had been cleaned for use as a plate.

I involuntarily flinched and leaned back as he flipped the knife over and then hesitantly took the knife as I studied him. Now who would learn to handle a knife like that and why?
"Maybe. 'Course, they'd probably all be covered in boar blood..."
I made a face. "Ick, thanks for that image." Replacing the last item back onto the table, I stood up and momentarily placed the knife down to brush the sand off my clothes. "Do you have the leather case holder thingee for this?" I asked, picking the knife up again.

Startled, I knocked some of the items off the make-shift table as I quickly turned around. "Cy, you scared the hell out of me." I knelt down and started to pick up the items as I realized I'd called him 'Cy' instead of Cyrus. I usually shortened people's names or gave them a nickname once I was comfortable around them. "Yes," I said in answer to his question with a quick glance at him. "Maybe I can ask Locke to let us all have another knife. He's still got 14,999 in his case. I'm sure he can part with one or two more."

I went to the area I'd last seen the knife but it wasn't lying in the same spot. I started to carefully move some of the plates, silverware, etc., around but still no luck. "Where'd it go?" I asked myself out loud.

KATE
Before she could bring up the issue of finding water again to Sayid, Hurley had rushed over with a new revelation. Kate quickly looked back to Sayid and they both headed in the direction Hurley pointed out. "Thanks, Hurley," she said over her shoulder.

Her eyebrows furrowed in concern as she looked to Locke. "I don't know. No one can find him."

"Claire passed out. She needs some water but the water is gone from the infirmary," she quickly summarized, looking between the two of them and hoping for some assistance in handling this newest development.

***Kate rushes in from F3 - Camp - Jack's Shelter***
KATE
She ran around the camp asking various people if they'd seen Jack. Nothing. No luck. It was as if he'd vanished. Kate was sure he was okay, wherever he was... or at least she hoped so. But right now, she needed to get Claire some water.
With no luck in finding Jack, Kate decided to head toward two other people in the camp who seemed to know what to do; Locke and Sayid. Thank goodness they were near the same place.
"Hey!" she called out to get both their attention and waved them to approach. "We've got a problem." She took a moment to catch her breath. "Someone took the water bottles from Jack's tent. We really need some water for Claire. She'd passed out and we took her to the infirmary," she quickly explained.

One of the areas that survivors have set up camp. All areas outside of shelters. Look for specific threads for inside the survivor's tents/shelters. The following survivors have a shelter in this area: 1. Ana Lucia 2. Claire 3. Dex 4. Edmund 5. Grace 6. Jack 7. Jamie 8. Jemima 9. Jinx 10. Kate 11. Krystal 12. Lee-o 13. Locke 14. Lucas 15. Natalie 16. Rose & Bernard 17. Ruby 18. Sarah Parker 19. Sawyer 20. Sonny 21. Vivian 22. Willo Location found in box F3 below: Each box is 3 miles by 3 miles. It takes an hour to walk 3 miles. But also keep in mind that hiking (like that really steep hill to get to higher ground) will take a heck of a lot longer and that if you're running (like from some jungle thing), that you'll get somewhere faster.

KATE
Kate watched Locke disappear into the jungle. She frowned. There was nothing she could do to stop him. The man was determined and who was she to tell him what he could or couldn't do? Besides, the man had a knife and knew how to use it.
Kate and Michael, however, were not in a good predicament. Sure, they had knives as well but they were not exactly pros with them. But that didn't matter. Michael would be giving off the scent of blood and Kate would be needed to help him make it back to the beach. He was hardly in a position to be wielding a knife and Kate would be hindered by Michael's weight. Her reaction time if there should be anything threatening... well, she just hoped they wouldn't run into anything.
"Let's get you back to the beach so Jack can take a look at your leg." Kate helped Michael to his feet and put his arm around her shoulders. She grabbed a tight hold of his wrist and wrapped her other arm around his waist. "Okay," she said as she adjusted the weight of Michael to as comfortable as she could make it, "let's go."

"What are you talking about?" She asked as she looked over Michael's leg for the hundredth time. Then it hit her. He meant to go on his own? Was he crazy? She quickly turned to look at him. "John, you can't."

She looked over at Locke, somewhat surprised. Michael was hurt. He was just gorged by a boar and Locke wanted to go on? "Uh-uh. Michael's hurt. We have to get him back to camp." As far as Kate was concerned, the boar hunt would have to be postponed.
