“We have to go back!” – Jack Shephard Lost Revisited - Online Viewing Party! Recreating the experience of watching the show with a community of people. Celebrate the 10th anniversary of Lost by experiencing it all over again or for the first time with a weekly viewing and discussion, hosted by the MFC Forum! Beginning June 5, 2015 with the two-part Pilot episode, each week will spotlight the next couple episodes of the show. We’ll have a week to enjoy the featured episodes with a discussion section for repeat viewers and a discussion section for first-time viewers so as to avoid spoilers for first-time viewers. Details and a schedule of episode viewing dates can be found at MFC's main forum, MFC's RPG & Fanfic Chain Forum. Join at mfcsrpg.proboards.com for details and to contribute your thoughts and suggestions for the event! Why the change from this forum to MFC's main forum? A few reasons. This forum has a huge amount of content from when Lost was first airing and I don't want to break it down or destroy the original content or format in order to create fresh boards and sections. This will remain a loving tribute to the original run of an amazing show. Secondly, we don't want the MFC community of people to be unnecessarily separated or our members participating in more than one of MFC's activities to have to sign up at more than one place or jump back and forth between forums. Thirdly, it is difficult to run two forums that will have similar content and types of people. Hoping to see you there! ***HEIDI enters from F4 - Mid-Jungle Area***
HEIDI
The sounds of the jungle were beginning to be replaced by another sound and as I pushed past the tree line and into a clearing, I could see a beautiful lagoon with the soothing sound of a rushing waterfall. It was breathtaking. Glad that Vincent had paused for a break, I placed the purse on the ground and the backpack next to it then knelt down at the waters edge and splashed water on my face. It felt wonderful and I wished we'd had enough time for me to go for a swim but I needed to get going before people began to worry.
"Ready to continue on?" I said, looking back at Vincent but he stared right back, looking almost... was that triumph? I looked at Vincent, then the lagoon of water and waterfall and put the pieces together. "Ah shit," I muttered to myself. I settled back against a rock and scratched Vincent behind his ear. "Good job for getting the water part right," I said with a small smile and a sigh. I couldn't blame him.

KATE
""We"?" she asked, momentarily raising her brows. "You still haven't convinced me yet." Trapping yourself in the middle of the jungle where there were so many places nearby that things could be lurking, not to mention away from the shore where rescue could actually see them didn't sound appealing.

A lagoon located somewhere in the mid-jungle area a little ways in from the mid-section survivor's camp, found later by Kate and Sawyer to be the location of a Haliburton and a couple of unfortunate fellow passengers. Location found in box F4 below: Each box is 3 miles by 3 miles. It takes an hour to walk 3 miles. But also keep in mind that hiking (like that really steep hill to get to higher ground) will take a heck of a lot longer and that if you're running (like from some jungle thing), that you'll get somewhere faster.

***VINCENT and HEIDI enter from G3 - Jungle Outskirts of Fuselage***
HEIDI
I followed Vincent, pushing aside low hanging branches and such along the way. A small crack sound from underfoot made me pause and glance at the object I'd stepped on that was different than the moist foliage and twigs and I paused a moment to crouch down and see what it had been. A broken compact case lay on the ground and near it lay other small items. I looked up and around until my eyes caught sight of a purse, stuck on some branches and slightly upturned, hence the items scattered about. I felt a slight sinking in my stomach as I realized these things must belong to the body just beyond these trees.
Looking ahead, I saw Vincent's tail disappear and realized he hadn't stopped to wait. I quickly grabbed the purse and picked up most of the items from the ground that I could see and stuffed them back in the purse as I rushed to catch up with Vincent, worried that I'd lost him but that worry soon faded as I caught sight of him again. I hugged the purse close, careful not to lose anything from it as it was all that was left of that poor woman. When I had a moments rest, I would check the contents and see if I could learn more about her. Every person deserved to be remembered for who they were, not just a nameless corpse.

I gave a shaky sigh of relief at getting through to Vincent and quickly zipped up the backpack and slung it over my shoulders as I stood up and followed him deeper into the jungle.

KATE
She looked him in the eyes and smiled back, caught in his gaze until a flutter brought her out of it. She momentarily looked down as if slightly embarrassed and then watched the fire in companionable silence. Kate ignored that brief stir of emotion and hoped he didn't notice anything out of the ordinary.

She took her eyes off the fire and looked at him. Her amusement faded away, replaced by sympathy. "I'm sorry."

((OOC: Wow, yah, way too many people jumping to Boone's defense and attacking Sawyer. Remember people, Sawyer is very intimidating and at times, downright scary. Most people just stayed away from him and ignored what he said rather than just getting all up in his face. Let's try to stay more realistic to the show. Gweny, you handled that very well. Mucho impressed. ;D))
KATE
Kate sat down next to Jack waiting a couple seconds for him to drink before asking, "So, where were you today, Jack?"
HEIDI
BOONE - "Thank you."
The way he spoke his 'thank you' portrayed that it was not just for the water but for what I'd said. "Anytime," I said sincerely. I could hear a few people attempting to chastise Sawyer for what he said. Like that was going to have any effect. If anything, they were just getting themselves on his shit list and that was one very bad place to be judging by his complete disregard for the wellbeing of anyone. If they ever needed anything from his stash, their prices had just gone up.
Another lady, one I haven't met yet, also offered some kind words to Boone. Speaking of, he looked as if he wanted some time alone. "I think I'll go for a walk. I'll leave you to your thoughts," I said as I stood up and headed toward the shore.

JIN & SUN
Not understanding what people were saying was definitely one of the most aggravating experiences of Jin's life. There was much chaos until the doctor had returned and it all seemed to be based on the same thing he'd been harassed about earlier; the water. The words were gibberish to his ears but based on the earlier interrogation put together with the events that had just occurred, it was easy to piece together that water was in short supply. Jin obtained two cups and joined the haphazard line of survivors waiting for water. As soon as he had the two cups filled, he headed to his wife and sat down next to her, handing her one of the cups without a word.
They both drank in silence. Jin picked up a stick near the fire and poked at the burning embers as he felt his wife's eyes on him.
She recalled his words on a previous day about them depending only on each other, she depending on him for the most part, and basically ignoring the needs or offers from everyone else. As he could not understand Jack's speech on the importance of living together or dying alone, it seemed he was starting to realize on his own how ridiculous he had been trying to shut everyone else out. She chose her words carefully as if testing him. "Thank you. For getting me water today," she said in Korean.
"That's what husbands do," was his emotionless and ambiguous reply.
I married the most stubborn man in creation, she thought. Sun did not bother to reply.
MICHAEL
He walked away from the group with his two cups of water and back to where he'd left Walt playing with Vincent. Now, however, Walt was fast asleep. Michael smiled down at his son and placed the extra cup of water in front of Vincent as he settled himself down on the sand.
KATE
Kate had seen the pained expression before Jack headed away from the group. She watched him settle down in front of one of the fires and headed straight over after getting a couple cups of water. Kate held one of the cups out in his line of vision to get his attention.
HEIDI
Like it seemed most people were doing, I'd gotten two cups of water and started to make my way toward little Sarah's shelter when I'd overheard Sawyer's remark to Boone and turned to see his smug expression as he walked away. What a jackass, I thought with a glare at his back. Like usual, my 'people are generally good' belief kicked in. As if Boone wasn't feeling low enough. He probably had a good reason for doing what he did... he just hadn't thought it all out properly.
Little Sarah was asleep. I'd probably regret waking her up just for a small drink of water and risk having her up and hyperactive all night which would put even more of a dent in my lack of sleep. Making up my mind, I headed over to Boone and sat down next to him.
"Sawyer's wrong, you know," I said, holding out one of the cups to him. "Everyone doesn't hate you."

KATE
Kate was startled at Jack's raised voice when he'd first reappeared from the jungle. She felt such a relief wash over her at seeing he was alive and well. She moved nearer him and watched him intently along with the rest of the group as he gave a speech, voicing everyone's fears and addressing how important it was that everyone worked together. It was a good speech that seemed to give everyone hope, even herself. As for the group heading out first light, she was most definitely there.
HEIDI
Like most everyone else, I was startled by Jack's booming authoritative voice. My attention had been drawn to the scene with Boone so I hadn't even seen Jack emerge from the jungle. I was glad to see he was okay as, like most, I seemed to trust his decisions. I was glad that someone was taking a stand and voiced how ridiculous all this fighting was. He was so right in all he'd said though I wasn't too thrilled at how his wording insinuated that rescue was not coming. I wasn't ready to accept that yet. As for volunteering for the first light group, my feelings of uselessness thus far was beginning to outweigh my fear of the jungle, not to mention how antsy I was getting at being stuck in one location for six days. It would be a good idea to offer to join the trek into the jungle to bring back water.
