Gwen crossed her arms defensively again and looked away, not wanting to lose her composure again and prompt yet another person to tell her to chill. Why did he have to be so annoyingly accurate? Not about the Navy coming to the rescue--that was unlikely--but about the dangers of their current situation. She had a habit of trusting everyone till they gave her a reason not to, but maybe this wasn't the best time and place for her usual optimism. Maybe she should be more cautious. "Yes, well, that's just...fine," she said eloquently, meeting his gaze defiantly after a few moments of silence. "And I don't trust you at all, if that makes you happy." Haha ... look who can be bitchy too!!!

Just had to stop by to squee about Casino Royale and Daniel Craig. I loved all the mythology set-ups: the Aston Martin (Ana will probably join me in painful wincing when that beautiful car goes rolling), the martinis, the tux. It was overall a great blend of action, intrigue, romance and humor. And major props to Judi Dench as M always. Ordinarily, when the handsome lead is involved in a nasty car crash, or other harm inducing incident, I tend to get a knot in my chest and I'm all 'Oh no! Hope he's okay....' On this occasion, though I did get a knot in my chest and I did think 'Oh no!' it was shortly followed by the phrase 'why'd they have to smash the Aston...!?!' I loved Casino Royale too, and am smuggly wandering around saying 'I told you he'd be great as Bond' to all the folks who had no faith. Favourite line.....'That last hand nearly killed me.' ;D

Haha! My personal favorite was when he walked up to Vesper and said, "You want to do what to me?" He had so many great lines, though. I knew he could be suave and sexxay just from the first few minutes of Layer Cake. Yes, but when tempered with the English accent and my doe/puppy eyes, my bitchiness still manages to sound nice and pleasant.

*does the Double Post Paso-Doble*
Our own Jinxy was on the tribute to Tony Bennett tonight, singing "Steppin' Out" in a gorgeous white dress that I could never pull off. And Michael Buble got to sing with him, too--a double dose of the velvet voice. *smitten sigh*

Hope everyone had a lovely Turkey Day, or a lovely "We Kicked Out The Colonists" Day across the Pond. And if you're out shopping today, good luck with that. You are much braver than I.
This post-Thanksgiving time means one thing to me. Okay, two things, if you count the L-Trytophan hangover. It's time to put together my Christmas Card mailing list! So if any of y'all would like a card (or postcard) from little ol' me, just send me a PM with your address and I'll add you to the list. I love sending out mail; it makes me happy. ;D

Today, Michael Stone attempted to kill Gerry Adams, as he said he'd regetted doing before his imprisonment.
For those who don't know, Michael Stone is a psychopathic Irish freedom fighter who has killed several people. The one I remember was when he bombed a funeral for several IRA soldiers, injuring sixty people and killing three. He was imprisoned, but under the Good Friday agreement, he, along with all the other 'freedom fighters' were released. And today he tried to do what he said in his last television interview he regretted not doing; kill the leader of Sinn Fein.
He was caught, though, and no one was injured. This was just something which made me sit down and actually watch the news.

Hey pearl! It's awesome, very well done! Only problem is that I've had a couple people tell me that it's making their pages take forever to load. Mine hasn't slowed too much from it; possibly because I'm using a newer computer. But yah, shiny.

It is a really shiny banner-movietrailer. But it does slow down my page really badly. Wold you mind taking it down or just having it in this thread? Please?

Now that I would watch. Foxy did a pretty good job on SNL tonight. Granted, SNL hasn't exactly been funny in a long time, but he did the best with what he was given. And the sketch with everyone discussing Lost in the elevator with Matt was pretty funny, since I'm sure that's actually happened to him on many occassions. And he looks good as a Mayan warrior--who knew? Also, gotta' say I'm loving the Ana-Lucia/Severin convo. It's like a meeting of equally jaded psyches.
