Ideas on how to make the RPG days go faster

My suggestion is to make everyother day go fast, like a week let's say. And I know that they are going on the hike, but I have a loop hole around that. We could make it so that they stop for night fall early on, before they get the signal, and then they can do all the other stuff during day 4.Its just a suggestion though. Anyone else have a suggestion?

I liked the idea about having one week day and one week night 'cause sometimes important thing happen at night.
Allthough I understand that sometimes you can not just cut of the on going game on Sunday to continue to an other day.
But I guess we all agree that we can not do every day (not even talking about the night) in one and a half month.

I think, although it would be nice if we could stick to maybe one week day/next week night scenario, we're probably better playing things by ear. Day 1 felt a little rushed to me, but obviously Day 2 is taking longer, partly because we've had more plot and more new people have joined.

I do like Jack's idea about splitting up hike into two days, since there seems to be quite a lot of people interested in going, it'll give everyone a little more time to interact with each other.

I agree with Ana Lucia. I started out the RPG with the basic rule that one week is a day and that just didn't work. With so many people, it takes time and not everyone is online at the same time. It's just not possible, at least for the first few days, do have them all done in a week each. After the hectic beginning and they get settled in, it might become possible, but I think we should keep playing it by ear.

Yes, it's taken us a bit over a month to get to the evening of Day 2, but looking back, we all did a damn good job. I'm sorry that some of you haven't played in a while (particularly pearl since she's waiting to make her debut all this time) but just because we're finishing up scenes doesn't mean you can't start a non-major scene with someone to pass the time, just with some basic chit chat to get to know other people.

Anyway, things will go faster the longer we're there, so hang in there everyone!

Hmmm...good point. Though we don't want to cut things off too soon. Good stuff happens in the dark y'know

Perhaps we should leave it to the boss lady to put an announcement up when any major night time plots are done.

Actually, I was thinking after the memorial, we cut to Day 3. What do ya'll think?

If each day is a week, can there be an exception in the holidays? For example, it is my half termn soon and I have a week off school so my parents my decide to go on holiday for a week so I won't be able to access the computer and then I'll miss a day?

No worries, we're not doing the each game day lasts for a week of real time; at least not until we get settled into the island. It just wouldn't work. We're going to play it by ear and just try to keep things rolling smoothly.
