The crash site where the mid-section of the plane, or fuselage, is located, as well as the area surrounding the fuselage. Location found in box G3 below: Each box is 3 miles by 3 miles. It takes an hour to walk 3 miles. But also keep in mind that hiking (like that really steep hill to get to higher ground) will take a heck of a lot longer and that if you're running (like from some jungle thing), that you'll get somewhere faster.

SHANNON
She had woken up coughing, and that was a bad sign. The tightness in her chest made her feel like she was suffocating, as she gasped for breath and scrambled to find the inhaler among her things. The rapid heartbeat was deafening in her ears, yet she still heard the pained sounds of her own wheezing. Great, it seemed Jack had gotten rid of one dying patient and now she'd be next on the bamboo OR table, she thought to herself. Finally spying the inhaler under a Marie Claire, she hurriedly placed it to her lips and sprayed the aerosol solution in her mouth. She willed herself to stop wheezing long enough to let the medicine work into her system. After a few minutes, she was able to fully inhale through her nose, savoring the feel of oxygen in her now unconstricted lungs.
At least Boone wasn't there to see it. He would only have given her grief about it, because of course it would have been her fault somehow. She'd overexerted herself on the hike, she'd stressed too much about the lack of rescue, she'd panicked excessively while being chased by a friggin' polar bear. It was the worst asthma attack she'd had since they got there, and if Boone didn't find his luggage soon, this would be her only inhaler. She had to make it last, so she needed to stay calm. Inactive. Emotionally detached. And the easiest way to do that was lying out in the sun. She could close her eyes and pretend she was in St. Tropez. Or maybe not.
Placing her towel down on a less-populated stretch of beach below the wreckage, she applied a layer of sunscreen to her bronze skin and then laid down, breathing in the salt air and focusing on the sound of the waves.

((OOC: Trying to set up for the Hurley/Sawyer fight, so whenever you're ready, Brit...))
HURLEY
For the better part of the morning, hunger was the dominant emotion for Hurley. But now a slight panic was starting to set in. He checked and re-checked the carts they'd salvaged from the plane, finding them empty of anything more than plastic utensils and ketchup packets. The fifth day without any sign of rescue and the existing food supply had officially run out. This was not good.

***Locke enters from his shelter***
He took a seat near the wreckage, crossing his legs as if he were a boy scout. He smiled up at the sun, and then turned his attention back to his case.

BOONE
***Boone enters from G4 - Beach and Shore***
He looked around the beach, assuming that Shannon was still in the same place she was when he left to clean up. He spotted her in the distance, lying in the sun, tanning. Boone sighed and walked over to her. "I'm so glad you always find something productive to do with your time," he said, still aware that she hadn't noticed him yet.

"I'm so glad you always find something productive to do with your time,"
She smirked slightly, recognizing Boone's voice. "Well, when we have you and your six-pack abs to solve all our problems, what else could I possibly contribute?" she replied, noting that he seemed to have been no more productive than her with that morning's time.
"You heard that transmission, Boone," she reminded him, turning her head to look at him. "You think Sayid's a miracle worker? That anything he does is gonna' change the fact that we're all doomed to die horribly on this friggin' island?"

BOONE
"You think Sayid's a miracle worker? That anything he does is gonna' change the fact that we're all doomed to die horribly on this friggin' island?"
"There's the positive insight I was waiting for," Boone said sarcastically. He pause for a second looking around the beach, "I don't know what Sayid's capable of, but if you ask me, he seems to know what he's doing, so I say give him a chance. And if he fails we'll try something else." Boone stood up, "You know you're not obliged to give up when you're faced with a problem.

"You know you're not obliged to give up when you're faced with a problem."
"But I am obliged to come running to you to fix it, aren't I?" she retorted. "My white knight in Hugo Boss. The brilliant, successful manager of a wedding business that his mother gave him. Face it, Boone; we're both kinda' lacking in the wilderness survival skills department. Going to Aspen and having to stay in a hotel instead of a private chalet doesn't really count," she said, casually closing her eyes and turning her face back toward the sunlight.

Boone stared at his sister for a second with a blank face, and then shook his head, "There's no talking to you," he answered truthfully. "...Even if you are right, but the difference between you and I is at least I'm trying. But I'm sure you have enough fun giving yourself a pedicure right?" Boone said sarcastically. Then a light went on as he remembered something. He reached into his bag and pulled out a pair of sunglasses, "Here," he said handing them to Shannon, "I fixed those for you." He had put a paper clip through one of the arms to attach it to the frame.

"Here," he said handing them to Shannon, "I fixed those for you."
She raised up on an elbow, accepting the sunglasses from him with a slight look of disbelief. "Thanks," she said, her icy nature thawing a tiny bit. But only briefly. "...MacGyver," she added, with a grin. He would take care of her; she knew that. He'd done so since they left Sydney. Longer than that, actually. Didn't mean she had to make a sudden shift into overtly grateful mode.
"Did you ever find your suitcase?" she asked, not wanting to mention her prior asthma attack but wishing to know there was a reserve of her medication nearby if she needed it.

SAWYER
Sawyer was leaning against a piece of wreckage while he lit a cigarette and took a drag. He knew he'd need to use them sparingly, but the need for nicotene was stonger. Quite a few people were out and about, he noticed. Not that he cared really, he just didn't have anything else to do besides watch them while he smoked.

HURLEY
He caught sight of Sawyer casually smoking nearby. Dude had shot a guy the night before, missing what supposed to be a fatal shot and puncturing his lung, and didn't seem any worse for wear. He seemed rested. Content. Well-fed.
"Hey," he said, approaching Sawyer. "You wouldn't know anything about the food situation, would you?"

Sawyer eyed Hurley as he came over. "What food situation?" he asked casually.

"What food situation?"
"That all of a sudden, it seems to be lacking," Hurley replied. "Everybody knows you were digging through the fuselage before we burnt it. Did you find any food in there?"

SAWYER
He raised an eyebrow at Hurley's tone. "Nothin' worth keepin'," he said, dropping the cigarette butt to the sand and stomped it out for good measure. He then bent down and put the pack of smokes in the backpack at his feet. As he stood up, he brought the bag with him and slung it over his shoulder. "Love to help ya out, but I got stuff to do," he said, and turned to walk away.

"Love to help ya out, but I got stuff to do,"
"Yeah, like hiding more stuff in your secret stash?" Hurley asked, trying to block his exit. "We're all in this together, man. There's gotta' be bags of pretzels or peanuts or somethin'. You're really gonna' keep everything to yourself?"

SAWYER
He sighed in frustration as his exit was blocked. Why did everybody want to pick fights with him? He was just trying to have a calming smoke and already someone's pissed off at him. "Outta my way, Krispy Kreme. I don't have time for this." Sawyer made to walk past him.

"Did you ever find your suitcase?"
Boone shook his head, "No..." he paused staring at the sand, wishing now he hadn't but the inhalers in his bag, "but I will find it," he said determined.

"Outta my way, Krispy Kreme. I don't have time for this."
Hurley side-stepped in front of him. "Look, I know you got the whole loner, shaggy-haired, James Dean vibe goin' but we got a camp full of people who are lookin' at another day with no rescue and now no food. Are you gonna' help us out or not?"
