Molly's eyebrows drew together, and she watched silently as the woman began walking towards her.

Alice walked over to her, "Look." She started, hoping she wouldn't get a smack in the face for talking to her, "I know we didn't exactly get off to a good start. But i wanna forget all that because we're both having bad days."

"How are you holding up?"
Grace nibbled thoughtfully on the end of her pen before writing her reply. "As well as can be expected, I suppose, given that I survived a plane crash and can't freaking communicate with anyone unless they're willing to write." Bitter, much? Perhaps, but most of that was the grief talking.

Willo paused and looked down, before writing again. You lose someone?

"Yeah. You?" was her only reply. The pain of losing her aunt was still fresh, like a wound that wouldn't heal. Grace was still in shock about it, to be quite honest. She kept expecting Ruth to just walk out of the jungle, ready with a hug and a shoulder to cry on, just like always.

Willo scribbled Me Too. on a piece of paper and sat back down, looking into the ocean. He patted the ground next to him, offering her a seat. FLASHBACK

Accepting the offered seat, Grace sat down and drew her knees up. "Hard to believe they're gone, isn't it." She purposely ended her sentence with a period rather than a question mark, turning it into a definitive statement.

"Yeah," Tom said aloud, then grabbed the pen and scribbled another note. Do you think it gets any easier?

"I know it does," Grace replied in a looping scrawl. "Lost my parents ten years ago. But I was a little kid... I guess it's harder when you're an adult because your memory is so much better."

Willo scribbled in what can best be described as handwritings that is mostly plain text, and all captial letters, I hope so.

Alice waited patiently for a reply. Patience was the key with anything, it had taken her twenty years to figure this out, in which she had been given alot of grief over, and alot of anger management lessons that never really worked out. But, still when she buckled down to it, she could have as much patience as the next person.

"Consider it forgotten," Molly said, not concentrating or even caring. She decided against saying anything else, and merely stared at her, her face expressionless. The ball was in the other woman's court. It was up to her to ask for the locket, up to her to bite back her arrogance in order to get something she wanted. Molly waited.

Alice waited for a while for her to continue. She didn't. Bitch. She smiled and looked around, pretending to notice how sandy it was. Then, she looked at the sea. "Um...it's twinkly, isn't it?" She said, thinking about how her husband had described it, and not quite matching his standards.

"I hope so."
Grace smiled sadly. "It does. It hurts like hell for a while, and the What-If game comes into play frequently. Time goes by, and it hurts less and less. Eventually you begin feeling like you can start living again." She paused, wondering if her next question would be offensive before deciding to throw caution to the winds and write it anyway. "If you don't mind me asking, who did you lose? Sometimes... it helps to talk about it. Sounds cheesy, but it works."

"Oh please say you're not one of these people who find everything beautiful," Molly sighed. Just when she'd started to like her, she had to go and say something stupidly soppy. Idiot.

She burst out laughing, "Me? Hell no! I just thought i'd break the silence." She calmed down and continued in her Texas accent, "I don't know if you've realised but i'm not exactly close with nature...or anything come to think of it..."

"I kinda noticed," Molly admitted, smiling slightly. "I like nature. I'm just not one of those nerdy types that goes trecking through hills and thinks its beautiful. I'm more of a city girl. Typical Londoner," she smiled, as she echoed someone's words, who had, a very long time ago, told her disgustedly.

"Hills are crap, trees irritate me, unless you can climb them and well...don't get me started on bugs. I had to get Hamilton to kill the spider in the shower the other day," She was surprised at how much she had already told Molly about herself, she reminded herself to be more careful.

Molly nodded, smiling. "Hate them too. Stupid, pointless creatures,"
The woman had revealed too much about herself, more than what she'd realised. Damn this was easy. She, Molly, had revealed enough about herself, to make the woman think they had something in common.

After looking out to the ocean for a long period, Wilhoat picked back up the notepad and wrote I think it's still too fresh...
