After leaving the questioning looks of Gwen, Jake and Jinx, Ana had proceeded directly into the tree line of the jungle. Her mind was clouded with built up frustration that she knew she couldn't direct at anyone right now. But it was still there, festering underneath the surface like boiling lava. She needed to erupt and the best way she could think to do that right now was to put herself deep enough into the jungle so as not to be disturbed (but not so deep that she might encounter a polar bear or other such random creature), pick up a hefty branch and beat the living daylights out of an unsuspecting tree. Which is exactly what she did.
With each swing she took, she let out a little more of her pent up rage, grunting with every impact. It felt good to use her muscles, to hit something as hard as she could. Each resounding thud shaking loose leaves from the high up branches until one particularly vicious whack dislodged a coconut from on high. Gravity helped it down and it landed to Ana's left, just missing her head by inches.
"Jeez...!" She said in surprise, staring at the coconut that had suddenly fallen. By now, she was breathing hard, a light shimmer of sweat beaded on her brow. Instinctively, she looked up into the branches to see if anymore bombs were about to drop. None did.
Resting for a moment, leant on her makeshift club, she caught her breath and felt the anger that had built inside her subside. Many had said her temper was the result of her fiery latin blood. Ana suspected it had more to do with her anger at how life had treated her. Or how she had treated life.

I had managed to find a few people who hadn't been asked yet and had a cell phone and a Walkman for my efforts. Most people gave me the 'somebody already asked me' line. I approached a guy I'd briefly met a couple days ago.
"Hi, um, Scott?"
"Steve," he corrected automatically, sounding as if it was an error he was tired of correcting.
"Oh. Sorry." I felt a bit embarrassed and brushed the feeling away, moving to the topic at hand. "Steve, do you have any electronics? Something you can donate? Sayid's gonna try to use whatever he can to boost the signal of the transceiver, so whatever you can find..." I trailed off. Most people got the point by that time. There was no need to embellish more than that.

Little Sarah
Sarah felt herself panic, she heard the words. Someone was coming for her, but she was pulled back under by a small wave and slowly being pushed out to sea. Sarah tried her best to get back onto the beach, but it was as if something was holding her back, she started to panic. :: HELP, if you please. Please help!:: She started to panic crying now. ::Mama Mama help me!:: Than she was pulled under again….
Jinx
Making her way back to the beach, she was in panic mode, she had lost sight of her. Sarah was now gone and she had no idea where she could do. “Someone help! Sarah is downing! Anyone please help her, please!”
Jinx felt like the worst person in the world, she couldn’t even save a child from drowning. God help her future children.

Steve had started to answer me when someone started yelling. I turned toward the voice, Jinx's voice. Sarah? Little Sarah was out there? I stood shocked for a moment as I looked around and spotted Mr. Floppers lying on the sand. No little Sarah in sight. Oh my God, I thought as I carelessly dropped the cell phone and Walkman onto the sand and started running toward Jinx. "Where is she? Where?" I shouted, my voice laced with panic and fear. I scanned the water and thought I spotted a waving arm and took off into the water swimming fast toward where I thought I'd spotted that arm.
I shouldn't have left her alone. I shouldn't have-- stop it. Concentrate, I thought to myself as I swam hard and tried to recall everything I'd learned in that CPR class. It had been a few years though and I regretted not going to the class again and renewing it. I stopped when I'd lost track of where I was going. "SARAH," I yelled as I turned in a circle straining to see some sign of her. "SAR-" a wave hit me in the face and I accidentally inhaled in shock, swallowing some ocean water. I resurfaced and coughed up the water, then took a deep breath of air into my burning lungs. "SARAH," I managed to yell again between coughs.

"Where is she? Where?" Jinx was panicking herself.
“In don’t know I lost site of her, I went in and I lost her I couldn--” Jinx watched as the women took of in a shot.
Little Sarah She wasn’t sure how far she was, but she made it too the top, and looked around, she could see someone again this time someone different, panic. ::Please hel--:: the water hit her again but she didn’t go under this time. :: I’m scared please::

I heard her. I couldn't make out what she was saying, but I recognized her voice. "Sarah! I hear you! Keep swimming, keep kicking your feet! Try to yell out often so I can hear you and don't panic!" That last one was one I was currently working on myself. Thank God, I thought as I swam in the direction I'd heard her voice. I stopped again to make sure I was going the right direction. "SARAH! Talk to me, sweetie, where are you?" I yelled. This time I saw the wave coming and quickly held my breath as I let it pass over me, quickly resurfacing.

Little Sarah
She was indeed panicking and since at that particular moment she wasn’t speaking English she didn’t understand the calm down part. ::Please, go I don’t wanna die!:: Due to stress and being scared out of her mind, Sarah’s meds weren’t helping her at all. The meds only helped surpress, it didn’t cure or stop them from happening.
The woman was close to her, maybe a few feet away. ::HELP ME!:: she yelled once more, unlike heidi she didn’t see the wave and it knocked her under.

I could swear I'd spotted her again before that wave but now, I couldn't see her. "Sarah!" Shit, she's gone under. I didn't see her resurface after that wave. Taking a deep breath, I dove under the water and opened my eyes, taking a moment to focus through the salt water. I saw her, floating slowly downward and my heart rate sped up as I swam toward her as quickly as I could. It felt like time was going slow; like I was moving so slowly, but finally, I swam up behind her and wrapped one arm around her waist while using my legs and my other arm to paddle as hard as I could to the surface.
Almost there, I kept chanting to myself. With the extra weight and the fact I couldn't use one of my arms, it was a slow trip back to the surface but finally, we broke through and I gasped for air.

Little Sarah
When that wave hit her she was taken back under the water and as a relax she took a deep breath, but it was to late and she instead took a mouthful of water. Making it a lot harder to breath, but she found she couldn’t. opening her eyes under the water she could see the sun above the water, shinning down on her, as if telling her she was doing the wrong way.
Slowly she was unable to breath and the weight of the water knocked her out and she was no longer moving….
she wasn't breathing as they reached the surface....

(OOC: Aww, another hero moment and Jake's too late to jump in. Looks like I'll go save Ana emotionally instead, and have someone else come to the rescue later... ) “Pardon me children, Coming through.” Jake watched as the little blonde girl, who he had seen building the sandcastle on the beach before, parted through the small group. Her innocent presence seemed to calm the tense situation between the adults, and usher in the oncoming silence even more. He waited for an answer. But none came, at first, as he watched Ana pace away stressfully, trying to vent out her feelings. Whatever it was, it seemed to be between Ana and Gwen. "It's personal, We just leave it at that."What Ana had said had confirmed it. As she passed him by on her way out of the situation, a brief hope lay in Jake that she was going to tell her to follow him so they could talk in private, and then she would tell him everything, just as she had been honest about the results of the hike moments before. "Don't blame Gwen..."Jake stood there for a moment, dumbfounded, as Ana walked away. Easy for you to say, Jake thought, I don't know what the hell I would be blaming her for, even if I did. His concious and curiousity told him to follow her, but there was still Gwen standing there with him, emotionally rattled by the argument. But Jasmine seemed to have that covered, and he nodded to them. "I'll see you girls soon, okay? I'm gonna go talk to Ana." Then he turned and followed after her, moving in the direction she travelled into the jungle. Being surrounded by trees again put him on edge, remembering the experiences he already had while being in the jungle on his island. He couldn't see Ana anywhere, and thought maybe he had lost track of her, when he heard thumping sounds coming from nearby. He followed the thwacking sounds until he spotted her, taking out her anger on a coconut tree, just in time to see a coconut fall down on her left and barely miss her. "I think you missed." he called out to her, announcing his presence, and smiled at her humorously in the hopes he could bring her out of the crappy mood she must have been feeling at that moment.

"I think you missed."
Ana jumped and whirled around, branch in hand, to find Jake casually making his way through the foliage towards her. Quickly she relaxed, but couldn't find it in herself to return his warm smile. It wasn't that she didn't like his company or want to explain what had just happened, she felt a little awkward that she'd been caught letting her anger get the better of her. Turning her back to him, she wiped the sweat from her brow with the back of her forearm before directing her attention to the coconut that had just landed next to her. She bent down and picked it up with one hand, studying the rough surface while she answered him.
"I'll try harder next time." She said dismissively.

"I'll try harder next time."
"So you are beating yourself up." Jake assessed, his smile disappearing when he couldn't make one appear on Ana's face. He paused in his step, stopping right in front of her. "Maybe you don't need to. Do you want to tell me why?" he asked her, giving her a chance to explain her previous actions with Gwen, now that they didn't have an audience.

Reappearing in a simple button-down shirt and jeans rather than the tux he had worn on the first day of the crash, Beau was drawn to the shore by the cries for help, standing motionless as he watched the woman out in the water pull the little girl from the depths in her attempt to rescue her. He did not make a move to go into the water, or take off his shirt in an attempt to do so. He simply stood there and waited to see what would happen, throwing a pair of towels over his shoulder, and calmly smoking a cigarette he had lighted. His eyes remained on the pair as they headed back to shore...

She felt sick to her stomach, she couldn’t even help a child. What kind of person was she? God she couldn’t do anything right, She wasn’t sure what Sarah was doing all by herself near the water. Even a Eight year old has adult super vision on the beach. Jinx paced the Beach she saw Heidi Resurface with Sarah and gave a sigh of relief, but now they had to get back to shore…

"So you are beating yourself up...Maybe you don't need to. Do you want to tell me why?"
Ana ignored his question until he moved right in front of her. She looked at him, her expression non-commital. She didn't know what to say to him.
I'm falling apart on this island and I need help....I'm afraid of what I've become...I can't take the guilt anymore....
All those thoughts ran through her mind, but none made it to her lips. Instead she simply tossed the coconut at him and started to walk away.
"Why'd you come out here?" She asked over her shoulder. "Didn't Gwen want your shoulder to cry on?"

"Why'd you come out here?" She asked over her shoulder. "Didn't Gwen want your shoulder to cry on?"
"Jasmine and Gwen are having a talk, so I don't think I'm needed." Jake explained as he caught the coconut, recognising that Ana wanted attention and was trying to determine how much Gwen meant to him through acting selfless. "You obviously had a big enough bone to pick with her to leave the little conversation that we were having before about the transmission, remember? When you told me what really happened? Well, I'm returning the favor. I felt we had a mutual understanding going on. You obviously have something against Gwen that's got you so torn up inside, that you had to come out into the middle of the jungle and vent out your frustrations on a pal tree. So, how is this any different from before? I won't judge you or anything." he offered one more time, turning to look at Ana as she walked away.

After a glance at the offending stick in her hand, she stopped not too far from Jake and tossed it into the greenery.
"I don't have anything against Gwen." She said flatly, still with her back to him.
He's right. Why am I even dancing around this? I trust him don't I? I've already told him about the french transmission....
Finally she turned to look him in the eye, a slight sadness being masked on her own face.
"We were off course. Miles off course." At first she was hesitant, but the more she spoke, the quicker the words came.
"That's why no-one's found us, why no-one's coming for us. They don't know where we are!" She took a breath to calm herself again.
"I found out on the hike. Gwen's flight personnel, she knew all along and she kept it to herself." Ana put a hand up as if to stop Jake from saying something before he could.
"And I know what you're going to say. It's no different from me keeping the transmission secret. I get it, okay!"

Vivian heard the Yells from the other end of the beach, someone was downing? Didn’t they have this happen earlier, but now it looked like there were two people in the water, one was pulling another to safety. Everyone else were going about there normal lives, as if nothing was happening. Moving down the beach she sighed and looked at the two coming closer to shore. She didn’t get to close, because there would be nothing she could do.
Vivian saw the women Struggling, bad thing is Vivian wasn’t a good swimmer, she wouldn’t be able to go in the water and save anyone. She never learned to swim until an older age, she had a bad childhood experience with water and that is what she was seeing her own Therapist about.

Locke had been ready to leap headfirst into the water, but Heidi beat him to it. Even then, he'd waited knee-deep, about to help if anything went wrong.
Heidi had been doing well, and he was aware he could've added to the confusion if he'd attempted to be a hero as well. As she neared the shore, he grabbed them both, holding them firmly but gently and pulling them onto the shore. "Are you two all right?" he asked, and then noticed Sarah wasn't breathing. "Oh no."

Jake went silent for a moment, absorbing the information. They were thousands of miles off course? The French transmission was blocking their call for help... either way they kept looking at it, they kept hitting dead ends. Their only hope now seemed that if a satellite or a plane spotted them from above - and out here, as Jake knew, in the wide Pacific ocean, the chances of that were slim to none.
He stepped forward to say something to Ana, but her words read his mind. It was exactly the same reason they had kept the secret about the French transmission - so as not to arouse panic and aggrevation amongst the survivors.
"Then why take this out on Gwen?" he simply asked, wondering what her motivation behind her instigation had been, trying to understand her mindset. If her reasons were the same as Ana's, there had to be another contributing factor that hadn't been revealed.
