Alrighty, just starting a random chit-chat thread for a place for us to just chat to spend the time we wait for responses, etc. Anyway, I see britbrat online and I haven't talked to her in so long that I thought I'd create this and see if she responds.

Hi Heidi. Been a while hasn't it? Totally my fault as life got the better of me. Too bad I didn't catch this thread before now, b/c you're not online at the moment. :\

Yay, you replied! So glad to be seeing you around again. I miss our Kate/Sawyer banters. ;D Are things a bit better with school now? Calmed down some?

Last semester school was hectic. I passed all my classes, but when I turned in my art portfolio they put me on probation (apparently my work wasn't good enough) and I have to make B's or higher this semester. *sigh* My first day of class starts next Tuesday for me. I've been babysitting two bratty rich boys most of the summer and it's been hell. I hate taking care of kids.
Sorry I haven't been around though. I plan on being more active now that the RPG has started over again. Definitely looking forward to getting Kate and Sawyer together again. How was my first post? Good? Bad? Ugly?

Those bastards... don't know real art when they see it. Whew, I wish you lots and lots of luck for your school year. School was never a strong point for me. I'm too much of a daydreamer and would always catch myself daydreaming in class no matter how determined I was to pay attention the whole class through. Lol, ah well. Eep, I hope they're paying you very well for taking care of not one, but TWO bratty rich boys. Punching pillows when you get home should help you relieve the pressure. Lol, just picture that it's them you're beatin' up for giving you such a hard time. No prob. I've been quite busy myself. Haven't had a chance to read any of the posts in the RPG yet! I've been working on fixing up the Character Bios and the other stuff in the OOC and I won't let myself get to the game until I finish the set ups, or I fear I'll never finish my mod duties. ;D I'm suffering! Almost done with the mod stuff, so I'll head straight over there. Man, I couldn't wait to get out of work today. When I left for work this morning, there were 5 players signed on and it killed me to shut down my computer and head out to work.

Ah yes, a mod's job is never done. Glad it's not me. It's weird writing Sawyer again. Weird in a good way though. I feel a little rusty at it, but I'm sure that once I start thinking like Sawyer (sort of a be the ball kind of thing) again, I'll get better. I love that you made yourself a character in the RPG, btw. Makes want to do the same for myself. This is going to be totally random, but what's the "Karma" part underneath the user info stuff? I noticed it earlier and I'm curious.

Yah, lol, it's a tough job, but I love doing it. You'll get the hang of Sawyer again. Just put on your best don't give a sh*t attitude and work your best smart ass lines. ;D You played him so very perfectly in the first game so I'm sure it'll click within moments. Just don't leave the house with that attitude. Thanks, thought I'd see how I handle things being stranded and all. And feel free to join in as yourself as well if you'd like. ;D It'd be interesting to have more people playing themselves. More of your normal, everyday people rather among the the extremely brave supermodels. hehe Ah, the Karma points are things you can give to your fellow players. Karma is good. It doesn't give you any new abilities on the forum or anything, it just shows that someone thought you did good and gave you a point. Exalt gives someone a point. Smite takes a point away from someone. We don't like to use the Smite button ever but there's no way for me to remove it, so it remains there. You can exalt someone only once an hour. Once you hit Exalt, those buttons will disappear until an hour has passed. Oh, and I loved your Sawyer post! See, you're getting that attitude back right quicklike. ;D

I think I might just create a character bio for myself here in a minute. Might as well right? It'd be interesting to imagine how I'd cope with such a traumatic situation. That's a cool concept, Karma points. I like it. Glad you liked my post. It was awkward writing it since I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted to him to say. I'm glad I can still pull of the Sawyer attitude. Makes me feel like I've accomplished something.

Lol, just think of how you'd really like to address those little brats you babysit. Oh, very happy to hear you're seriously considering joining in as yourself! I won't feel so alone in the normal person department. hehehe! Speaking of Karma, I'm going to give you your first one! ;D

Oh, very happy to hear you're seriously considering joining in as yourself! I won't feel so alone in the normal person department. hehehe! For some reason, I feel that's aimed at me. But I'm normal. I have a purple suit, a love for roleplaying and a slight obsession with clowns. Just like everybody else

Yay, my very first Karma point! I feel all special and glowy right now. Ah yes, I can see it now. I'm on the island reliving the irksome moments babysitting those kids and thanking my lucky stars I'm as far away from them as humanly possible. Closest thing to heaven anyone could ever reach. It's funny that their mother thinks I'm a good enough babysitter that she wants me to come back next summer. I think I'll save that job as my very last resort, right above working at Walmart.

Lmao, nah, I mean that everyone on the island is so supermodel beautiful and brave as hell. I'm a normal everyday looking person who's a scardy cat. ;D Lmao, you're all weighing the pros and cons... cons, I'm missing my favorite TV show. Pros, am far, far away from bratty spoiled kids... hmm.... Lol, maybe the mom is just glad that you agreed to babysit them more than one time. Those little hellions probably scare off babysitters after one sitting session. ;D Hmm, maybe you are one of the brave ones after all. Okay, made my very first post as... me! Felt kinda weird getting all into my own head. hm, goes to show how little I use it. ;D Actually, it was rather fun to picture myself there with Jack just a few people in front of me and Sawyer a little farther up, yelling at people. ;D

I read your post and it was great. Hee hee, made me giggle what you wrote about people invading personal bubbles. I hate it when people do that. I went on a date a month ago to see POTC2 and the guy was leaning all in my space the entire time. I couldn't concentrate on the movie the whole two hours b/c of him. It was irritating. I'm in the process of creating my bio. Sheesh, took me forever to find a decent picture of myself. Me, brave? I like the sound of that.

Woohoo, I saw your request and approved it! Omg, it is incredibly creepy how similar we are. Your profile describes me almost perfectly. Crazy. Geez, any smart guy would know not to be all up in your personal bubble when you're watching Jack Sparrow. That's just a very unacceptable time, not to mention that's some major attention competition he's dealing with. Lol, seriously though, I hear ya. I'm assuming that was a first date or at least one of the first few. Yah, you need to ease into that kind of closeness; not just drape yourself over someone you're just getting to know. Boys. Oh, I just had a thought. The RPG is taking place the same time the crash is, so it's 2004. We have to be careful we don't accidentally quote or reference movies that weren't out yet.

Yeah, I noticed how similar we are too. Weird, but awesome. It was our third date and yes, I was in a very grumpy mood after the movie. Gah, he even tried to hold my hand durng the movie for a few minutes, thank god that didn't last long. I stopped dating him after that day. Totally creeped me out. Yeah, that's going to be a challenge. I hope I remember what movies came out two years ago and which ones didn't. I also changed my age on my profile to 20, since that's the age I was two years ago. I completely forgot about that tidbit when I made my bio last night, so it's fixed now. Ohh, Ghostbusters is on tv right now.

Eek, yah, that's so distracting. That happened to me once at a movie but I wasn't even dating the guy. He was a co-worker of a good friend and he'd asked my friend all about me after I visited him at work one day. He sat next to me at the theater and kept trying to hold my hand. He actually succeeded a couple of times when I rested my arm on the arm rest (forgot and subconciously put my arm on there again after getting away that first time), but I casually removed my hand from his, then finally just sat with my hands folded in my lap, out of his reach. I didn't want to hurt his feelings, but I didn't know the guy. Gah, so distracting. I think I left the theater not remembering the movie very much. Woo, Ghostbusters! Who you gonna call?

Firefly!!!? I had no idea you were a fellow Browncoat! Oh wait, I kinda remember talking about that. You know we have a Firefly RPG, right? I think we mentioned that to you when we first started it but school had been taking over your life at that time. I'm playing Inara on that one and we have so many characters now, it's crazy! We could start our own series. My day was okay. It draaaaagggggggeddddddd! The beginning of the week flew by like a flash though. I'm glad to be sitting in front of my computer once again, catching up on the RPGs!

Browncoats unite! #woohoo2yo# I had no idea there was a Firefly RPG. That's so cool.
Yeah, this week went by fast. This morning when I realized it was Thursday, I was like what happened to Wednesday? Ever have one of those days?

Yes, that's how my whole week felt... until today around 2 p.m. I looked at the clock thinking I only had maybe 15 minutes of work left (I finish at 5), but nope, still had 3 hours! #dead2of# Hm, I thought we had mentioned that Firefly RPG. It's over on the MFC's RPG and Fanfic Chain Forum at mfcsprg.proboards53.com if you ever wanna check it out. ;D Woohoo, so glad to see lots of new posts in the RPG here! I'm trying to read them in order. Oh, pizza's here! I'll be back in a little bit.
