It's a little more then six months after the surviving passengers of Oceanic Flight 815 were rescued from The Island. They arrived by boat in Los Angeles, and since most were frightened to fly, they made their home in Los Angeles. Oceanic was forced to give each of the passengers a consiterable lump sum of money. Claire, Charlie and Aaron bought a large flat, Sawyer started a bar called Crabby Al's, which most of the passengers visit at one time or another. Charlie Pace bought stock in the club Rehab, wanting to start his solo tour out right at the club. As for Ana-Lucia Cortez, she returned to the force, however, taking up a new job as head of Investigations.
However, not all of the passengers shifted to their normal lives as easily. Jack Shephard, when he first arrived back home, slid quickly back into his shift at Saint Sebastian's hospital, however, as the months passed, Jack started to have doubts about whether or not being away from the Island was a good idea. He slowly started to slip into a depression, drinking and using pills that he had taken from the hospital supply. Hurley as well was in a bind; he was taken back to the mental hospital in Santa Rosa.
Jack continues to work in the hospital, however, he is calling out more and more, until he sees one of the passengers in the hospital, dying of something that his fellow doctor's cannot figure out. When the passenger dies, Jack starts to notice that more and more of the passengers are mysteriously dying, and Jack becomes determined that they all are going to die as the other passengers have unless they get back to the Island.
Will the other passengers of Flight 815 believe Jack Shephard, or will they pass it off as the rantings of a drunken doctor?
