Ray
He had enjoyed the sun as much as possible, but that didn't stop ray from doing his job. After all he had to help his Gwen, after all he had a duty to uphold. He had gathered wood for the night to come and placed it under a tarp so incase it rained later in the day, he had checked the water supply and counted the fruit rashions, they were indeed low.
When he over heard the whole talk about Hunting boar he was glad those little buggers would getting what came to them, He was forced up a tree and of course he ripped his shirt in the process. with a small sigh, he sat down and drank some of the watter down he was thirsty. He searched around the spot and saw several people taking charge, made him feel easy and please.
Standing up after a few minutes he walked over to Gwen and smiled, "Wood, food and water all counted and taken care of miss Havers." Ray smiled.

Jinx
"No apology necessary. You certainly seemed to be having quite a good time."
Jinx grinned and nodded her head, "Normally thats how it is, until the morning." streching one more time, she smiled when she notice how clear and beautiful the day was. But this "Vacation" was getting old. she was soon not going to be able to trick her mind into this little game, than it will all come crashing down on her. Jinx wanting nothing more to be home and in her bed. "So how are you this morning?"

"Wood, food and water all counted and taken care of miss Havers."
"Oh, hey," she said, leaving Locke to his hunt preparations and walking aside with Ray. "And y'know, you are still my superior. You certainly don't have to take orders from me. Everyone's being so productive today; I feel a bit of a slacker. Were you here for the boar-hunting speech?"

"I might be your Superior but no one knows that," he grinned and placed his finger on his mouth. "They like and know you better anyways." Ray winked and wraped an arm around her. "Yeah, scary how many people around here have some kind of weapon or something, i mean jeeze we could have be highjacked by anyone of them." Ray shook his head at the thought, "Expecial mr. Sharp-knive man over there."
Ray looked over his shoulder to the man with the knives, "At least we'll get some meat soon, those boar will get all they deserve." he crossed his arms. "So what are your plans today?"

"Look like were going to be eatting soon, more than fruit thank goodness."
"Yes, Mr Locke has been kind enough to offer his services as a hunter." he replied. "It's almost barbaric, but needed, I suppose."

"So what are your plans today?"
"Well, not boar-hunting," she answered Ray. "Despite all those pheasant-shooting weekends in the country, I'm fairly sure I'd be useless. I think John has enough volunteers anyway."
She continued to fidget with the drawing in her hands while thinking. "Actually, I was going to try to set up some sort of laundry. Maybe using water from one of the rain-catchers, stringing a line between some trees. Would you mind helping me with that?" she asked.

"yes i can relate, i don't think i be any help. more like running and scream." he grinned.

"You bet," he grinned. "Nothing more i rather be doing right now." ray grinned at Gwen, "I'm very proud of you, you've kept your head in time of an emergancy, and with an acception of a couple people, you've made friend." Ray smiled, "better than i would have been."

"Oh, it's early days yet. I'm sure you'll be Miss Congeniality in no time, though you might have to do without the sash and tiara. Sorry." And sitting just nearby was a potential friend for her colleague. Or at least someone who could match him in speed conversation.
"Ruby, hi," she greeted the girl who'd taken a seat in the sand. "This is Raymond, he's one of my colleagues. Ray, this is Ruby. Another Brit and a nurse trainee. I've asked Ray to help me start up an island laundrette; I wonder if you'd be interested in helping," Gwen asked, hoping to dispel some of the tension between them while giving Ruby a chance to contribute and keep her mind off whatever was troubling her.

I've asked Ray to help me start up an island laundrette; I wonder if you'd be interested in helping,"
It wasn't exactly the offer Ruby had been waiting for or the white flag waving above Gwen's head, but it was chance to get to know some more people around here, although the title Wash woman didn't sound all to glamorous as nurse.
"Ray..." she she said awkwardly "Yeah I'll give you a hand with the washing, someone has to do it!" she grinned
Glamorous it may not be, but this was coming from someone who was training to sdo much worse.
"We might as well do something round here"" she sighed feeling that all those years of training had gone to waste

"We might as well do something round here"
"Don't worry; Ray can make even the most mundane of tasks seem like Mardi Gras," Gwen tried to encourage her, tossing a smile at her colleague. "Frankly, there's no one I'd rather sort laundry with. Just don't get him started on women's continued mistreatment of pre-press delicates," she advised.
She turned back to Ray. "There was a young deaf girl on the plane; I'm gonna' go check in with her. See how she's doing. I'll be along to help you in a bit," she said, walking back to where she'd seen Grace standing with Willo.

Having accepted Willo's explanation of what was happening, Grace fell back into her habit of simply watching the people around her. When she noticed Gwen approaching, she couldn't help but feel relieved. Even if Gwen didn't know what to do about this strange occurence, she was at least someone who could sympathize. "Hey Gwen," she signed, and god, what a relief it was to use sign in the middle of all this craziness. "How are you?"

"How are you?"
"Terribly confused, but otherwise fine," she signed in reply. "Morning, Willo. Never a dull moment, is there?" she asked, speaking and signing for the benefit of both of them.

WILLO
He didn't say anything, but offered a silent wave and a smile to Gwen as he stood next to Grace.
"Morning, Willo. Never a dull moment, is there?"
"I suppose not," he said, with a half smile.

"Why are you confused?" she asked, realizing that now she could both hear and see Gwen speak. Well. Even if she had no idea what the flight attendant was saying vocally --she wasn't sure how the signs matched up with the spoken words-- it still sounded nice.

"Why are you confused?"
"I'm not sure where to begin," she signed with a slight laugh. "Most things don't make sense here. Most people don't, either. Be glad you don't have to hear all of the complaining."
She began speaking and signing again, not wanting Willo to feel left out. "Anyway, as I can be of no help on this boar hunt, I'm going to see if I can help with general morale around the camp. Try and find Jake, see if I can straighten things out between us." She glanced at Grace. "And no wisecracks from you," she added, remembering their conversation from a few nights back and hoping Grace had kept her notebook well hidden.

"Be glad you don't have to hear all of the complaining."
Grace grinned shakily. "Yeah, about that... I woke up this morning and I could hear. No joke. Talk about things not making sense here, hey?" She grinned again at the remarks about Jake and wisecracks, also remembering the conversation. "Wisecracks, from me? Whatever gave you that idea?"

Ray
"Well do just fine, take your time." Ray waved as Gwen walked off, Laundry was one of his strong things. White, colors and other. Strangely with an acception of an occasional few, there shouldn't be much deleicate things. Once Gwen was out of ear shot he smiled, "I'm sure we can find something to do, ya'know to stall until gwen joins us. maybe just set up the line or somethin" He winked, "Wouldn't want her to miss all the fun now would we?"
