One of the areas that survivors have set up camp. All areas outside of shelters. Look for specific threads for inside the survivor's tents/shelters. The following survivors have a shelter in this area: 1. A.J. 2. Alice & Hamilton 3. Ben Henry 4. Billy 5. Brittany 6. Cyrus 7. Elliot 8. Erica 9. Ethan 10. Gwen 11. Heidi 12. James Woodhouse 13. Jin & Sun 14. Little Sarah 15. Noah 16. Sakura 17. Severin 18. Tusti 19. Walter Location found in box G3 below: Each box is 3 miles by 3 miles. It takes an hour to walk 3 miles. But also keep in mind that hiking (like that really steep hill to get to higher ground) will take a heck of a lot longer and that if you're running (like from some jungle thing), that you'll get somewhere faster.

***Sarah enters from F3 - Camp - Sarah Parker's Shelter - Day***
It was really cold outside as Sarah stood there in front of her shelter. The jacket of her jogging suit was just reaching till the bellybutton and the trousers ... well, they were low cut ... so the 5 inches of bare skin in between were already freezin'. What does it say: Beauty knows no pain! Sarah took another look around. It was really foggy outside, that was not just a trick of her mind. Well, cold morning, seaside, fog ... makes sense. But there was no one else to realize that fact by now. Everyone was sleeping, Sarah actually liked that. It made her smile a little, it was so silent. After a few minutes of just standing there, looking at the beach, Sarah started to run. In a moderate speed, through the sand, just down the beach. She wouldn't stop working out just because her freakin' plane happened to crash on a deserted island. No way!

***Gwen enters from her shelter***
She approached the luggage pile warily, wondering where to start. They'd made a good deal of headway the day before, but the next step would be to get everything out of the elements. After all, it could rain again any moment. Maybe she could put little Sarah's team of builders to work.
The camp was still relatively quiet, the other survivors gradually awakening and beginning to busy themselves. She sat down beside a large burgundy suitcase, unzipping it and beginning to sort through the contents.

He saw Gwen, and immediatly forgot his idea to distance himself from her. He walked up to her. "Good morning. Sleep well?" he asked pleasantly.

She looked up to see Ethan. "Oh...um, as well as can be expected," she replied, with forced calmness. "I think we were all a bit worried about the hiking party. Whether they'd return safely, y'know. How 'bout you?" she inquired.
Oh, she hated this. This awkwardness. If he did have feelings for her, so what? It's not as if she would actively encourage it. The rescue boats would come, they'd return to their lives, and this place and the people with it would be a distant memory. And she'd go on as usual, avoiding any open and candid talk of real emotions and instead relying on sarcasm and flippant comments. It was better that way. It was safer. And she still enjoyed his company.
"Well, you know what they say--another day, another diamond-studded Rolex watch," she remarked, inspecting some of the jewelry from the bag. "You might want to hold on to that." She tossed the watch to him. "Probably pay for a couple years' worth of school supplies..."

Erik emerged into camp. He was using what, in a past life, had been a hot towel for first class passengers to dry his body off, as he had just returned from a breif swim. It was a brief swim, indeed, as he also had not bothered to look for a swimsuit in the luggage, and had, instead, donned just the pair of boxer briefs he was wearing. He used the towel to clean the water in his ears as he approached Gwen and Ethan, hearing the last bit of their conversation.
"I wouldn't count on that," he said, with a smirk. "I took a look at that a while ago, and it's a fake. A very good one, not the kind you get for 100 bucks in Washington. But a fake none the less."

"Oh, thanks...thanks a lot." he said, catching the watch. He smiled. "And hey, I didn't get you anything."

"Well, there's more to life than a little bit of money, I guess." he said, and still pocketed the fake watch.

"And hey, I didn't get you anything."
"No worries," she said, returning his smile. "Consider it a down-payment on that beachfront condo you built me."
"I wouldn't count on that," Erik said, with a smirk. "I took a look at that a while ago, and it's a fake. A very good one, not the kind you get for 100 bucks in Washington. But a fake none the less."
"Well, there's more to life than a little bit of money, I guess." Ethan said, and still pocketed the fake watch.
"Exactly," Gwen agreed. "For instance, artistic integrity. But don't get Mr. Mason started on that topic, or we'll be here all morning. Mr. Mason, I don't believe you've met Ethan," she began, trying to avoid looking at Erik's still slightly damp exposed torso and arms from where he'd been swimming. The guy obviously kept in shape for an executive, but he could probably afford one of those personal trainers to the stars.
"Mr. Mason makes very 'important' films," she dramatically whispered to Ethan. "And apparently dabbles in jewelry appraisal."

***enters from my shelter***
I stepped out into the sun, slipped my iPod into my pocket, and put in the ear buds. I thought I sensed something behind me and quickly turned around. The only movement I saw was the fluttering of the flaps of my shelter, probably due to the wind. I had no idea how much longer little Sarah would sleep, but it wasn't as if it'd be hard for her to find me.
I set off toward the shoreline, hitting play and letting my music surround me. I still had half of the battery left. Pretty good, but that was because I hadn't used it on the plane or all day yesterday. I'd only use it for about an hour so that I could try and make it last until rescue arrived. I stopped by little Sarah's shelter on the way and grabbed one of her pills, placing it in my pocket so that she could take it as soon as she found me, then continued to the shore, letting the waves hit my feet as I walked.

He glanced around, and saw the girl he'd already seen. "Well, well, well. The pretty girl I bumped into yesterday." he smiled, walking up to her. "I'm sorry, I don't really know anyone yet...uh, can I ask your name?"

I started taking out the braid I'd slept in as I hummed along to the song playing on my iPod when someone started walking next to me. I looked to the man in surprise, but then smiled as I took out one of the ear buds to hear him. "Yah, no problem. I'm Heidi." I let go of my braid to shake his hand, then continued unbraiding as I waited for his name.

"I'm Noah, lovely to meet you." he said, grinning. He paused for a moment. "You look a little like Kate Winslet."

I laughed. "I haven't heard that since Titanic was in theaters." I gave a big grin. "Thanks, I consider that a huge compliment. Maybe she can play me if they make a TV movie out of this whole crash thing."

"Ohh, excellent. And personally, I see myself being played by..." He smoothed back his hair and smirked. "Leonardo DiCaprio. I mean, I look about in my...early twenties, right?"

"Oh, important films." he smiled, lowering his voice much like hers. "Like documentaries about rescuing people trapped in buildings with terrorists, or was that more of a clever mockumentry rooted in ironic humour?"

"Ethan," he said, with a smirk. "Good to meet you." He ignored the last comment completely, not wanting to get sucked into another debate. "And once you've seen the real one of those it's pretty easy to tell the difference." He looked at Gwen and mouthed the words 'Joel Silver'. "I've never worn a watch, though." He, wisely, chose not to expand his reasons as to never wearing a watch.

Gwen grew quiet after Ethan's remark, continuing to fidget with the suitcase's contents. It wasn't until Erik mentioned Joel Silver that she realized he might have been talking about Die Hard. Living through one tragedy always made you look back on the ones that came before, and she didn't want to be reminded how much life had changed on September 11th. She wasn't even sure why her mind had gone there.
"Actually, Mr. Mason's studio produced several recent Oscar winners and critically-acclaimed television series," she explained to Ethan, not quite sure why she was rushing to Erik's defense. "Or so he says," she added hastily.
"I've never worn a watch, though."
She looked up at Erik in disbelief. "Seriously? How is that even possible? You flit from India to Australia to LA, you insist that you are the Industry, and yet you don't wear a watch?" she asked.

"I guess I never had to worry about being late for anything--I guess I just have a good iternal clock," Erik said, with a smirk. He left out, though perhaps not intentionally, that he never had to worry about people not waiting for him to arrive. "And while I personally have not won an Oscar, some of my films have and many of them have been nominated. Not that any of that matters now."

I laughed. "Sure you do. But Leo's coloring is too light. I think Johnny Depp would be a better choice to play the part of you. I think people will overlook the fact that Johnny doesn't look like he's in his 20s," I smiled as I added to the joke. I finished taking out my braid and threw my hair back over my shoulder, then shook out the kinks. "So, number one question of the island, if you don't mind answering. Reason for flight?" It was one of those questions that was getting tiring to answer but one you couldn't help asking.
