"I can help with collecting fire wood unless you need some help going through the fuselage?" The thought of all the corpses in the fuselage made her inwardly flinch but she was determined to brave it if Jack needed her help. She felt as if she could handle it as long as Jack was with her.

I stopped higher up on the beach near the trees and dropped my things and the tarp on the ground, intending to build my shelter in a place where it would have the most shade, but not too close to the trees.
Now how exactly did one build a shelter? I looked around at some of the others that had been placed up. Some people used branches and bamboo, some used pieces of wreckage, and some of the braver souls had ventured into the jungle to get some thinner vines to use as rope to keep the pieces in place.
I looked at the jungle and realized I was not ready to go in again so soon, especially alone, so I'd just have to make do with what I could find out here.

He nodded his head slightly as if trying to agree to the suggestion, "Alright, if you want to... but no one's forcing you to go, if you don't want to I'll be fine doing it myself."

Sarah played with Mr. Floppers at a close distance away from her Shelter. playing in the sand, Sarah tried not to think about the bad Anymore. She tried not to think about how everyone was wounded/Dead/ or close to death. How they were captured on the island without any hope.
"Ahh, it was beautiful day huh Mr. Floppers?"

On my way to pick out some pieces of debris for my shelter, I came upon little Sarah sitting outside a shelter. Even she had managed to build herself a shelter. I was definitely impressed. I noticed her sitting with Mr. Floppers and saw her bag had spilt over. Crouching down, I started putting things back in the back.
"How is Mr. Floppers coping?" I asked. I was about to put a piece of paper back into her pack when some of the words caught my attention and without realizing it, I started reading it.
My daughter suffers from a case of Schizophrenia, its triggered when she gets Scared and is in extreme situations for a long period of time. Sometimes she speak diffrent languages and doesn't remember he own name, i have placed a few pills in a bag in her back pack, its marked flupenthixol.

"How is Mr. Floppers coping?" Sarah was about to Answer when she saw Heidi looking at a piece of paper from her bag, she lowered her head.
"Mommy and Daddy says i am sick, But Auntie Martha says that i should be put away." she got up and sat down next to Heidi. "That is why they are sending me to see my Grandma..." Sarah lowered her head, she felt like Crying. "I'm don't belong in a pyscho ward, do i heidi?" Sarah let a couple tears fall.

"Oh swinkle, you don't belong in a psycho ward," I said comfortingly as I changed to a sitting position and started running a soothing hand over her hair.
My heart went out to her. Someone so young having to deal with such adult issues and heartless meddling relatives was so very sad. Kids her age should be always smiling, laughing, and carefree.
"Everyone has problems. Some have worse ones than others. Some people can hide their problems, other's can't. For example, your Auntie Martha's problem is that she has a big mouth and sticks her nose into other people's business." I paused for a moment and gave a small smile. "But that's classified as more of a character flaw." I stopped to try and gauge if I was making her feel better or worse, trying to decide what would be the best way to cheer her up.

Sarah gave a little smile, she knew Heidi was trying to make her feel better. But she knew it could only get worse, Sarah was worried she might hurt someone. Like she did before, one time she got so crazy, she placed a boy in the hopsital. she wouldn't tell Heidi that, cause she didn't want her to worrie about that.
"I love my aunt, but sometimes i don't think she loves me back. But sometimes i think she is right, i don't want to hurt anyone. I am dangerous."

I changed my look of surprise back to a comforting smile. It was hard to believe that such a little slip of a girl could be dangerous but I would give her the benefit of the doubt.

He sat on the beach, watching the survivors go to and fro. He'd been staying in the background, just watching. He'd witnessed the fight, and he'd stayed close enough to get names, and now he was watching each one of them. So many of them. Making a mental note of each one that interested him.
Ana-Lucia. A strong woman. Powerful. Needed a means of control. Control seemed to be very important to her. From her leadership qualities, decisiveness and the way she retained a calm attitude under the circumstances, she most likely had training. Was she a cop, military, fire-fighter, a job like that? Most likely. She would be useful, but he’d have to understand her better first.
The Southern hick had no use whatsoever.
The doctor, Jack, was...interesting. It was hard to believe someone was that good, and it had to go deeper then that.
Krystal, the blonde, was also useless. She thought only of herself, and he had no use for anyone who was selfish. Part of the reason he'd always had trouble with Ethan.
Hamilton. He was off the list, as was his wife, Alice. They were as bad as each other, and ironically, they only seemed to care about themselves and each other. They were in love, that much was clear, and they seemed to not mind being isolated from the other survivors. They would have to integrate eventually.
Kate. Like most women, she was a complete mystery. She was a blank. An enigma. He refused to believe that she was the good girl she appeared to be, and was determined to find out exactly who she was. This meant fake friendship. This meant pumping her for information.
She wasn’t the only enigma. Of even more interest was a mysterious bald man. Like most others at this point, he kept to himself, but there was no fear, or panic. Cyrus instead sensed….acceptance. Even relief.
Ethan had been getting along well enough with the British girl, Gwen. Ethan seemed to have faith in her, and she was his responsibility for now. None of his concern.
Then there was the spoilt pop star, and the brooding British man. Neither were remotely interesting, but he'd keep his eye on both of them.
His sharp eyes picked those of interest from the crowd. And among them was someone who stood out more then the others. A woman.
His hands gripped his knees slightly tighter, and he almost did a double take. Gorgeous hair that hung down to her waist, just short of her simple choice of jeans. Her face seemed to be…almost glowing. Which was what made her stand out from the crowd. A beautiful, symmetrical face of natural beauty and loveliness, with little make-up, which only enhanced her allure. The only real make-up was slight eyeliner decorating her expressive, lively eyes.
Pure beauty.
When he realized he hadn’t looked away for a while, and that in fact there was a short, middle-aged man behind him trying to see what he was looking at, he decided to tear his eyes away. He coughed, and stood, brushing his hair to the side slightly.

Sarah nodded, she would have to have someone help her. But sometimes she was scared to ask, she didn't even know about the pills and the note. if she knew she might have told someone about them. But she didn't like how the pills made her feel, she felt tierd and sick when she took them. So that is why really she chose not to tell anyone.

She stopped when she was about in the middle of the biggest group of people. "Um, can I have everyone's attention?" She waited until she had the attention of everyone, feeling extremely uncomfortable with so much attention and continued on. "We need to collect firewood. Lots of firewood. For the fuselage and we might as well get enough for the signal fires. The more people who can pitch in, the better." She paused and looked around. "Thanks," she said, before continuing on.

Perfect opportunity to make himself useful. He reached back into his tent, making sure the diary was safe, tucking it into his jacket pocket. He stood, and followed the young woman.

Ana-Lucia felt like she was back on the beat, about to go off and tell someone their loved one had been killed in a drive by. It wasn't the most pleasant news to have to spread, but it was neccessary.
She approached a woman with long curly hair who was talking to the little girl she'd met on the plane.
"Hey kiddo." She said with a short smile, before turning to look at the woman. Her expression became deadly serious, and since there was no easy way to explain it, she just came right out with the situation.
"We're having to burn the fuselage."

I smiled up at the woman but when her expression turned serious, mine did as well. After her statement, I was speechless for a moment. "We are?" I asked rhetorically. "When?" I didn't bother asking 'why' because I was sure there was a good reason and I really didn't want to think too much about it as that would bring forth terrible images of carnage from my memory.

"Tonight." She replied tersely. From the grim look on the woman's face, Ana figured she wouldn't really want to help move the scattered bodies, but she asked anyway.
"We need volunteers to help clear the beach."

So that's why that other lady had made an announcement about collecting firewood for the fuselage. "Clear the beach?" I asked blankly, furrowing my brow in confusion. I couldn't figure out what she meant by that at first, but when it dawned on me that she meant help carrying bodies, I could feel myself pale a bit and my stomach flip. "I... I can try to help. I heard someone also say they needed help collecting firewood for the fuselage but if you're low on people to help, um, clear the beach..." Please God, let there be enough volunteers to clean the beach. I felt terrible for my reaction to those that didn't make it, but I was never good around blood and gore. I was, however, pretty darn good at blocking reality so I figured if they really needed people for that, then perhaps I could try to disconnect myself from the reality of what I was moving.

She was clearly uncomfortable with the prospect of dealing with bodies, which Ana had kind of expected. Perhaps she shouldn't have asked to bluntly, but she wasn't the type to waste time on pleasantrys.
"I... I can try to help. I heard someone also say they needed help collecting firewood for the fuselage but if you're low on people to help, um, clear the beach..."
"Look, don't worry about clearing the beach." She cut in. "I can find someone else. We could use all the help we can get for collecting firewood though."
