Sawyer's Shelter Location found in box F3 below: Each box is 3 miles by 3 miles. It takes an hour to walk 3 miles. But also keep in mind that hiking (like that really steep hill to get to higher ground) will take a heck of a lot longer and that if you're running (like from some jungle thing), that you'll get somewhere faster. |

He brought the cigarette up to his lips, taking another drag from it as he sat at the edge of his shelter. He looked out over the camp as people wandered or hovered near the fires. At least Kate and Sayid had kept their distance after their little interrogation. He was still treated with suspicion, or contempt, or outright avoidance. But that was fine. They'd come to him when they needed something; otherwise he wouldn't have anything to do with him. Which sounded just fine from where he was sitting.

At the sound of his name, he glanced up at the man who'd already tried to kill him once. And with no sign of Ana around, he doubted anyone would interfere if the guy decided to finish the job. But he remained sat there smoking his cigarette nonetheless.
"Sorry, short-stack," he replied. "Already had my beating for the day. You'll have to take a number."

He regarded Ethan for a moment. Just a few days ago, the man had pummeled him, humiliated him. So naturally it was time for a little payback. "Ya' see, I've established a sort of barter system. I need somethin', you need somethin', we make an exchange and everybody goes home happy. Mr. and Mrs. Wong, the blonde Amazon, even your precious stewardess have made use of the system."
He took another drag off his cigarette, closing his eyes to savor it. "And I gotta' tell ya', the girl's got good taste," he exhaled with a smirk.

The smell that radiated from Sawyer and his cigarette was disgusting, but Ethan still smiled bitterly. "Oh, Sawyer. You have all the self-preservation skills of a lemming on a cliff edge." he said. "That's an empty taunt, anyway. Like Gwen would ever come within a mile of you by choice."

He snatched the bottle off Sawyer, looking it over. He then pulled his t-shirt over his head, throwing it spitefully at Sawyer's feet and taking the Wisconsin shirt off him. The sweater was heavy, and the inside itched. But he just went with it, clutching the bottle tightly. "Thanks." he spat, turning and exiting the shelter.
