Grace's Shelter Location found in box F3 below: Each box is 3 miles by 3 miles. It takes an hour to walk 3 miles. But also keep in mind that hiking (like that really steep hill to get to higher ground) will take a heck of a lot longer and that if you're running (like from some jungle thing), that you'll get somewhere faster.

Grace awoke with a start, sitting bolt upright and looking around wildly. She hadn't had the dream in years, but this was the second time in as many nights that she had dreamed of the car crash that took her parents' lives. Her breath was ragged and heavy, a strange sound in her ears... She frowned. A sound? Impossible. I haven't been able to hear since I was a child, she scoffed mentally, flipping her hair back into a ponytail and stepping out of her shelter. ***Flashback: abclost.proboards40.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=rpgbios&thread=1156300598&page=1******Grace leaves for F3 -- Area of Survivors' Camp***

Sarah was slowly approaching and then knocking at the hut slightly afterward. "Hun? I am sorry. I know it's time to sleep but ..." she stopped. Damned! The girl was deaf! What was she thinking. Sarah shook her head and sighed. Maybe it was an invasion of privacy but she had to make sure the girl was okay. So she slightly opened the curtain to make Grace see that someone wanted to talk. Hopefully she did not misinterpret this action as an attack or an attempted rape ... as said before: Sarah was not good in behaving around deaf people. "Are you in there?" she asked again instantly reminded of the deafness again.

WILLO He had, I suppose, the same thought as Sarah, but frowned as he saw her. He bumped by Sarah.
"Sorry," Willo said, with a smirk. "I was just going to tell Grace goodnight. What, uhm, what are you doing here?" he said, scratching his head curiously.

Sarah was surprised for a second as Willo appeared beside her. But soon her face expression changed to a honest smile of relieve. "Nice to see you again Willo." she said sighing. "I was just making sure that she is okay. I was not the kindest with my first impression delivering a drama that would have let Jennifer Lopez look like a puppy dog."

"How, exactly, were you planning on communicating with this lovely lady?" Willo said with a smirk. "I'm sure she just wants to be left alone."
He produced a note from his pocket and extended it to Grace.
"Some light reading before bed?" He said.

After returning to her shelter, Grace had found a sharp sliver of metal --part of the wreckage, but it would serve its purpose-- and used it to slice up her mango. Thus, when she stepped outside upon noticing that someone had twitched the tarp aside, it was with a piece of fruit in one hand and her makeshift knife in the other. She smiled uncertainly at the two standing outside her shelter, wondering what on earth they were doing here. Oh. Was that a note? Grace set the metal sliver down and took the note with a curious look. The note went into her pocket, and she went into her shelter, only to reappear in a moment with her notebook and pen.
I'll run out of pages soon if I have to keep this up, she thought as she wrote quickly. "What are you doing here? Thought y'all would have better things to do than follow me around." She wasn't being rude, honestly, just curious and maybe a little bitter that she was so easily left out of conversations when too many people showed up.

Sarah noticed Willo's secret agent note with slight discomfort. It was like everyone was talking or exchanging notes behind her back. Anyway, not that this had ever been different. "I just wanted to make sure you are okay. You have found your knight in shining armor as I see." she nodded toward Willo with a smirk. Then she realized Grace's notebook. She made an attempt to take it and write something down hoping that Grace would let her. "Can you read lips then?" she wrote on it. Then Sarah indicated to Willo and Grace that she was going to get something from her shelter. She vanished for a few seconds and then came back handing a flat, box shaped device to her with a screen on top of it: "Here ... I have no use for it since my appointments do not matter on this island. But you can type on it ... and the papers will never expire ... unless the power source gives up. Which will be, if you use it wisely, in no less than 11 hours on constant usage." She handed it over to the woman, the light of the blue screen glimmering on Grace's cute face. "I guess I leave you two alone then ... as everything seems just fine!"

Willo looked to the ground and blushed. He held up a piece of paper which read "just wanted to wish you a good night and give you the note," it said, all too prepared. "Sweet dreams"

Grace smiled gratefully at Sarah, holding the device in one hand while signing "Thank you!" with the other. It was a pretty universal sign, just a hand placed in front of the mouth and moved away towards the person, and one she thought that Sarah would understand. It was truly a nice thought, and Grace would be sure to use her new treasure well.
Aww, wasn't Willo's paper explanation just the cutest thing ever? And he even blushed! Oh man, just wait until Gwen hears about this! she thought to herself, setting the device and her notebook on the sant for a moment. She pointed at the words "Sweet dreams" and signed them slowly, before signing them again and pointing to Willo to indicate that she wished him the same.

"O-kay." Sarah felt displaced, but in a nice way. They both were so cute together and as much as she knew Willo he was a decent guy. "I wish you two a good one. If she has questions about how to use it you know were to find me!" she said to Willo gesturing towards her organizer. Then Sarah looked back at Grace. "Good night Grace." She turned around and left, suddenly feeling her bladder. She hasn't been on duty for the entire day. Well, she wasn't drinking much too. It has to be the jungle ... quick. Sarah started walking.

Willo smiled for a minute affter he got her signed. He was able to figure it out, and had this goofy grin on his face as he looked at Grace. After realizng what he was doing, he looked down and got a bit red again. "I'm going to go see Gwen," he said aloud, before looking at her. He wrote something down quickly in his embarassment. "Dinner." the sheet read, though what Willo was off to do had little to do with dining.

As her unexpected visitors left, Grace picked up her things and returned to the interior of her shelter. She sat down on the blanket that served as a bed and set the electronic device next to her for future inspection. Right now, she wanted to see this mysterious note. It was out of her pocket and unfolded in moments, and she had to read it twice to make sure her eyes weren't deceiving her. A wide, silly smile crossed her face as she refolded the note and stuck it into her pocket again, laying down on the blanket with her arms folded beneath her head. Oh yes, Gwen is definitely going to be hearing about this tomorrow. Poor Gwen, being bombarded from both sides by the two of them.

Grace awoke the next morning feeling rather better than she had for the past few days, and it took her a while to remember why. Last night, Sarah and Willo had both come by and given her rather unexpected surprises. How strange, that she could be comforted by small kindnesses from people who had, three days ago, been total strangers to her. Sitting up, she began to carefully pen a few sentences in her notebook, tear out that page, and painstakingly folded it up into an origami swan --a talent she had picked up at the summer camp for deaf children she had been attending since she was ten. When that was finished, Grace slipped on a fresh shirt and gulped some water before pocketing her handheld device and picking up the swan.

*Grace enters from the G4 beach*
Now that she'd had some time to walk it off, Grace really had overreacted and jumped to conclusions. Well, too late now. She'd just go to sleep and hope everything cleared up in the morning. Tomorrow, she would find the girl and talk to her, and talk to the doctor, and do whatever else needed doing. But for now, she was content to kick off her shoes and lay down, curling up beneath her blanket and slipping without difficulty into sleep.

WILLO He approached Grace's shelter, but paused, thinking better of it. He moved away a little bit, and sat down with his notebook and wrote a few lines. He took a clothespin he had in his pocket, folded up the letter and quietly pinned it to Grace's shelter.

***tralala, enter Grace from wherever I left her***
Sitting down inside her shelter, Grace was finally able to do as she'd wanted since the encounter in the jungle with Gwen's creepy admirer -- curl up on her makeshift bed and just have a moment to herself. God, was that so much to ask for? All the time, somebody wanted something or just to talk or happened to be in the area. She was still a teenage girl, for heaven's sake. Time to herself was practically a vital part of life.
Now that she was alone, she was able to think, too. On the beach she'd said that relationships and hook-ups would start popping up soon. Forty-odd survivors alone on a desert island? Yeah, there was all kinds of sexual tension. But to put it plain and simple, Grace wanted no part in it. She couldn't help but think of her last relationship, broken off only about a month ago. He'd been fifteen years her senior, a handsome FBI agent who saved her aunt's life. The words I love you had never been said, and she'd been the one to break it off, but... she couldn't help it, she was still hung up on him. It had been fun and exciting and anything but a healthy relationship, and she still wasn't over it. Place like this, with no imminent rescue, she'd have plenty of time to think it over.
