Mid-Jungle area from survivor's camps with evidence that boar live or used to live there. Location found in box F3 below: Each box is 3 miles by 3 miles. It takes an hour to walk 3 miles. But also keep in mind that hiking (like that really steep hill to get to higher ground) will take a heck of a lot longer and that if you're running (like from some jungle thing), that you'll get somewhere faster.

She glanced over at Jack as they continued on as if trying to determine if they were getting near and also to make sure Jack still had his bearings. After all, it was pretty dark when he was finally returned the night before.

I followed close, my heart was just slowing down. What did that little girl think she was doing, jumping out at people like that? I sighed and already felt myself getting over heated, maybe coming on this trip half dehydrated wasn't such a good idea? "Are you sure were going the right way?"

"Are you sure were going the right way?"
"Ah, no worries, love," he said with a confident smile. "The doc's got a spot-on sense of direction. Got us all the way to the cockpit and back. And Kate with all the hikes she's been on probably knows this place like the back of her hand by now.

"Doesn't really explain why we're not right there, right now." he growled under his breath. His eyes flashed about to all the people around him. All bad people. All liars. The anger at all of them for just being around was starting to bubble up. Just the urge to hurt the people he was walking there.
He should've been back at the camp. He shouldn't have gotten drunk. If only Gwen had kissed him back when he'd done the stupid thing of trying to, then things would be a great deal better. Well, maybe.

"Water's this way," Jack said confidently to the others. He knew exactly where to go and how to get there, and so he didn't want people getting worried thinking otherwise.

KATE
She appreciated Charlie for helping to ease any fears that might have been creeping over some people in the group. As for Kate, she had complete confidence in Jack. Then Ethan had to throw in his crotchety comment and Kate gritted her teeth to stop herself from saying something. It's probably what he wanted; someone to talk back so he could have a fight he seemed to be itching for. Well, she wouldn't be the one to satisfy his urge for a fight. So instead, Kate turned to Jack and asked what had been nagging at her more and more the farther they walked. "How'd you find this place?"
Jack had traveled farther into the jungle than anybody should alone and the thought that he had and what could have happened to him almost made her feel like yelling at him for doing something so stupid. But it was a pointless thing to lecture him about since he did find a source of water and was still alive and well and now leading them to it.

"As long as we get there, its fine by me." I smiled.
"Doesn't really explain why we're not right there, right now." Well isn't he Mary sunshine? why not just stay at the camp if your going to be Mr. gloom and doom?
"Water's this way," Thank goodness!

"How'd you find this place?"
"Luck," Jack answered right out of the gate. It was the only explanation he had. He didn't really find the caves, he just sort of stumbled upon them.

Looks like no matter how she tried, she wasn't going to get any answers from him. Every angle she tried, he'd simply given a vague, mysterious answer. She gave up for now as her attention was taken by the glimpse of an opening up ahead.

Kate continued on their trek back following the same path they'd taken before and keeping a companionable silence. Noticing her shoe was untied and needing a bit of a rest, she stopped near a tree and took off the backpack, leaning it against the tree as she put her foot up on a root and bent down to tie her shoe.

He continued thinking about his new idea. He took a quick glance as Kate bent down to tie her shoe, but Jack was so lost in thought that he was motionless.

She'd heard Jack stop and wait for her but his continued silence made her glance back at Jack who was staring intently. She followed his line of vision which seemed to lead to her rear. She looked back at Jack with a smirk, thinking she'd caught him red handed. "You checking me out?"

JACK
"You checking me out?"
"What?" Jack exclaimed as if he had just heard the most ridiculous thing, and from his perspective he had. It wasn't until he actually thought about it that he realized that what she was asking sort of made sense, especially since she didn't know what was actually on his mind. Jack couldn't help but feel embarrassed as he was certainly caught off guard with the question.

Finishing off the knot in her lace, she dropped her foot from the root and turned to face him. She could sense that he was a bit embarrassed. "There's no harm in it," she reassured. "I just --"

Okay, so maybe she was less convinced that he'd been checking her out, but the fact that he'd been looking in her direction when he'd gone into thought made her think (or was it only hope?) that he'd been thinking about her. The urge to hear him confirm her assumption was great enough for her to press the issue. "Don't stop to think. Just ... tell me."
